Shilpi Gupta is a born dreamer. A flair of creativity, a panache of style, a fashionista was born in the family of businessmen. With a degree from University of Central Lancashire, UK, she is an epitome of style and fashion. Ms. Shilpi Gupta belongs to a business family, who had established a non profit making society to impart quality education in North India. Presently the Society has set up 12 leading education institutions in Uttaranchal, Noida and Greater Noida. These institutions deliver programs in IT, Business, Architecture, Journalism, Law and Design.
To give expression to her passion for design, she set up the Design Innovation Academy (DIA) in 2005 to impart quality education in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Jewellery Design, Interior Design and Multimedia and Animation.
Secretary General International Foundation of Fashion Technology Institute Commodore Vijay Chaturvedi (Retd) has been associated with DIA from its inception and has taken up great efforts and challenges to lead DIA to this summit.
Dr.Piyush Kumar Sinha joined Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad after a 20-year service in academics and industry. Prior to joining this Institute, he was the Dean at Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA). He has also taught at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and XIM, Bhubaneswar.
During his tenure in the corporate world he worked as a Marketing Manager for Gujarat Gas and Rasna.
She is trained in Design Management and User Research from National Institute of Design. Deepti has about two decades of professional experience in the field of Design research and filmmaking. She is also formally trained in the craft of filmmaking from FTII, Pune and has worked with ravidespande productions in the area of ad films and corporate films. As a film student, she has assisted Saeed Mirza and Vishal Bhardwaj in film projects. She is a trained oral and digital storyteller with numerous shows to her credit across India.
A speaker with a great sense of humor and a highly energetic persona. She uses her story telling technique to transform a simple and mundane workplace conversations into engaging and fruitful ones. This technique has particularly gained appreciation in encouraging employees towards thinking unconventionally and out of the box. It is also a popular step towards employee engagement. Deepti has the ability to cater to a multi-cultural, multi-dimensional audience because of her proficiency in English, Hindi and Urdu. The quality that sets her apart is the fun and passion that the participants feel while she narrates her ideas with the help of storytelling technique.
She has over a decade of teaching experience in creativity and innovation based courses at some of the very reputed institutes of India. The Truth School was born of the vision of a group of eminent industry professionals and senior professors from academia, which is formally led by Deepti Pant, an alumnus of National Institute of Design and FTII.
Vijai Singh Katiyar has 25 years of experience in design education and practice. He has been contributing to Design Education, Research, Consultancy, Outreach and Publication activities in many roles and capacities. A Principal Designer at NID, currently he chairs the Education Programmes. While he is a member of the Governing Council and the Policy & Planning Committee, he also serves on the advisory board of the National Design Business Incubator. He is the founder of the International Center for Indian Crafts (ICIC) at NID.
Vijai has led initiatives of setting up design programmes and institution building. He steered several initiatives of academic reforms, curriculum development, programme reviews besides setting up a System of Educational Excellence in Design (SEED). He has worked on several international projects and exchange collaborations. He teaches Textile Design, Crafts Documentation, Design Process, System Design, and Design Projects.
