The programme exposes students to various domains of textiles like crafts, design, technology enabling them to comprehend the importance of each of these aspects. Diverse studies and researches in areas of craft, global design needs and inception of technical textile remains the backdrop for the forma of education at IMS-DIA. It is mandatory for the students to explore and respect the skill, aesthetic and functional aspects of textiles globally. The extensive interaction between the crafts, textiles industry in both unorganized belts and the corporate sectors, give the students a practical exposure and hands on experience extending education beyond the class rooms.
